That's why we built galerie POSTOJ in the metro. In the heart of the city. Right where you wouldn't expect to find art. Because we think exhibitions shouldn't happen behind closed doors. In places that make you hesitate before entering. Where you're afraid to speak up. Where you wonder if you even belong there.
We give space to the new generation of artists and showcase work that speaks to what's happening in society right now. We stand behind each of our artists from day one. Because the beginning is often the hardest part.
We believe contemporary art should be accessible to everyone — regardless of age, education or profession. Traditional galleries put up barriers. We break them down.
In 2022 I was standing one evening in the metro at Náměstí Republiky, staring at an empty shop window. A former currency exchange that ripped off tourists. Dark, messy, nothing more. That evening I knew we'd turn that space into a gallery. For people, not elites.
